4. Confidentiality and relationship with the firm

Sending a message through this website does not, by itself, create a client relationship with AJM and does not replace legal advice. Please avoid sending confidential information, documents or case details through the form; we will agree on the appropriate channel after the first contact. Information from people who become clients is handled in accordance with the lawyer's duty of professional secrecy.

7. International transfers

Some providers, such as Google and Meta, may process data outside Brazil. When this happens, we seek to ensure that the transfer meets the requirements of art. 33 of the LGPD.

8. How long we keep data

We keep data only for as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal obligations. Contact messages and registration data are kept while needed to handle the request and organize activities and are then deleted or anonymized, unless the law requires or allows longer retention (for example, to comply with a legal obligation or to defend ourselves in proceedings). Browsing records are kept for the periods set by applicable law and by the hosting provider.

9. Security

We adopt reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss and misuse. No system is completely secure; in the event of a security incident that may cause relevant risk or harm, we will notify the data subjects and the authority as required by the LGPD.

10. Your rights

Under art. 18 of the LGPD, you may request from us: confirmation that we process your data; access to the data; correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data; anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data or data processed in non-compliance with the law; portability; deletion of data processed with your consent; information about the entities we share data with; information about the possibility of refusing consent and its consequences; withdrawal of consent; and objection to processing carried out in breach of the law. We do not take decisions based solely on automated processing.

To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. We may ask for information to confirm your identity and will reply within the periods set by law. You may also file a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

11. Children and adolescents

This website is aimed at companies and adults and does not knowingly collect data from children or adolescents. If you believe a minor has sent us data, let us know so we can delete it.
